Zusammenfassung:Circumscribed palmoplantar hypokeratosis is a recently described condition with well-defined clinical and histopathologic features. Eight additional cases from Mexican patients-six cases have been published in the literature, we report 7. In 6 cases, a hyperkeratotic edge was demonstrated histologically. One case was very similar to viral wart. Two of our patients had lesions on their fingers. Since palms and soles are not the only sites that can be affected, we suggest the name circumscribed hypokeratosis. Two of the cases were treated with surgical excision, so this treatment for small lesions is recommended.
