Mechanism of the Formation of Hierarchical-structured Bismuth Tungstate Photocatalyst Particles through Counter-flow Supply of Bismuth and Tungsten Sources

Zusammenfassung:The mechanism of formation of hierarchical “flake-ball”-structured bismuth tungstate (BTO) particles was studied on the basis of structural analyses and was revealed to be the growth of plate-like BTO crystallites on the tungsten oxide/BTO-modified surface of bismuth hydroxide particles by supplying tungsten and bismuth from the outside and inside of the core particles, respectively.
