Zusammenfassung: | The AFS Annual Meeting often sets the stage for groundbreaking symposia and events related to fisheries science and management, and this year's meeting is no exception. The AFS, in conjunction with partners at the International Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies (IAFWA), U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS), Sport Fishing and Boating Partnership Council (SFBPC), and National Fish and Wildlife Foundation (NFWF), is sponsoring a landmark event that offers AFS members a chance to be in "on the ground floor" of a national initiative. On Sunday, 22 August, from 8:00 a.m.-2:45 p.m., a work session entitled "Working Group on Healthy Fish Habitats: Creating Benchmarks for Success" will provide an opportunity for our members to shape a national agenda for aquatic habitat that will impact fisheries for generations to come. |
