Zusammenfassung:	Highlights 1 We elucidated the most efficacious treatments to Chiari I malformation (CIM) through a literature review. 2 Most methods used in CIM among history were taken concerned in our research. We evaluated the safety and efficacious of each method through clinical and radiographical outcomes. 3 Only bony decompression cannot achieve satisfactory outcomes. 4 Bony decompression plus duraplasty showed the most favorable outcomes. 5 Resection of tonsils and shunt were not recommended.
