Zusammenfassung: | Fluorescent-tagged endoglucanase and endoxylanase from Aspergillus niger were prepared and measurements were carried out in soybean at five different temperatures, 25°C, 37°C, 45°C, 50°C and 60°C. The mass transfer Fourier number Dt/a2, where a is the average diffusion path length, D the diffusivity, and t the diffusion time, has been used to determine their effective diffusivities. This number has been assumed to be equal to one. Typical average values of maximum and minimum effective diffusivities for infused endoglucanase as well as endoxylanase, measured from the curved surface of the soybean cotyledon, were estimated to be of the order of 10−12 and 10−14m2s−1, respectively. Fluorescent micrographs revealed that the diffusion path length was not uniform across any representative section. |
