Zusammenfassung:Algorithms for robust filtering of surface roughness profiles are discussed which can be used to reject random outliers from measurement data and to study the features of surfaces with stratified properties. The shortcomings of the traditional Gaussian filters are analyzed. Examples are presented of algorithms applied to robust Gaussian and spline regression filtering.
