Zusammenfassung:The eastern Pacific species Pinnotheres nudus Holmes, 1895 is synonymized with Opisthopus transversus Rathbun, 1893. Pinnotheres nudus sensu Weymouth, 1910, named P. holmesi by Rathbun in 1918, also from the eastern Pacific, is shown to be a synonym of the western Atlantic Zaops geddesi, the second species to be assigned to the genus Zaops Rathbun, 1900.
