Zusammenfassung:A disproportionately high number of Salmonella infections are in children younger than 1 year of age and are often complicated by bacteraemia or meningitis. A six-week-old girl was transferred to the paediatric ward with clinical signs of meningitis. Salmonella group B was isolated from cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) and cultures from blood and stools remained negative for Salmonella spp.
