Zusammenfassung:We analysed the data provided by citizens about the likely presence of Asian tiger mosquito by means of the Tigatrapp smartphone app, developed by the project AtrapaelTigre.com. We confirmed the presence of this invasive mosquito species in the municipality of Alhaurin de la Torre (Malaga). This work represents the first record of Aedes albopictus in the Autonomous Community of Andalusia. In addition to its nuisances, this invasive species is an important epidemic vector of Chikungunya, Dengue and Zika viruses. Through its dispersal and establishment, it appears the real risk of autochtonous transmission of these diseases from imported cases of endemic areas.
