Zusammenfassung:	Highlights • Evidence of reproductive dopaminergic inhibition in prepubertal F1 female sablefish. • Treatments with metoclopramide, T and GnRHa elevated gonadotropin mRNAs. • Previtellogenic follicles were gonadotropin responsive and able to synthesize steroids. • Treatments with T stimulated previtellogenic follicle growth, but not vitellogenesis. • T-treated previtellogenic follicles preferably produced androstenedione and DHT.
