The Genus Hippolyte Leach (Decapoda, Caridea) in the Aegean and Ionian Seas

Recent sampling in the northern Aegean and Ionian Seas and re-examination of material collected previously in the area gave additional information on the distribution of the species of the genus Hippolyte. All the nine Mediterranean species and forms of the genus Hippolyte are also known from this area (i.e., Aegean and Ionian coasts of Greece). H. niezabitowskii d'Udekem d'Acoz, 1996 is recorded for the first time from the eastern Mediterranean and the Aegean Sea. /// De nouvelles récoltes en Mer Égée et en Mer Ionienne ainsi que le ré-examen de matériel en collection a fourni de nouvelles informations sur la distribution des espèces du genre Hippolyte. Les neuf espèces et formes méditerranéennes du genre Hippolyte sont connues des côtes de Grèce des mers Égée et Ionienne. H. niezabitowskii d'Udekem d'Acoz, 1996 est signalée pour la première fois de Méditerranée orientale et de la Mer Égée.
