Zusammenfassung:This paper presents evidence of progressive change in the pattern of performance of Labour Inspection in Brazil in recent years, and discusses how the business reacted to this change in state regulation. The objective is to demonstrate how the increased stiffness in the imposition of labor standards on off enders has provoked intense reaction of employers and their representative bodies. These seek to systematically attack the legal instruments embargo, prohibition and assessment of inspectors from the Ministry of Labor (MTE) to try to restore the complete hegemony of conciliatory before prevailing standard in the institution. The article is based on research performed based on the universe of audits MTE since 1996 across the country, to which were added statements, documents and interviews and reports on recent dynamic inspection and business initiatives.
