Zusammenfassung: | This article discusses the need for a self-reflective exercise on the knowledge production, evaluating the various relations of power that emerge in a research context, the interactions established by the researcher and how these affect the production of knowledge, The above taking as input the comparison of two field experiences narrated in first person, which include issues related to the exercise of sexual rights, maternity and adoption in Colombia, Contrasting the position of a native female researcher who studies the universe she comes from and another one who approaches as foreigner, we intend to develop a reflection on the impact of power relations and the meanings we carry in the construction of the object of study, as well as the challenges of the various interactions that emerge during fieldwork.
