Zusammenfassung:Our aim is to evaluate the expression of heart rate frequency and respiratory frequency for normal children and for children with mental disability in order to identify the malfunctions of these physiological parameters. We started from the hypothesis that there are significant differences between children with mental disability and normal children regarding heart rate and respiratory rate at rest. We had 35 subjects for the research, grammar schools students, aged between 12 and 16, with various degrees of mental disability. We could see that there were no significant differences regarding the heart rate among the four groups. Also, the respiratory rate frequency increases at the same time with the degree of mental disability.
