Zusammenfassung: | The Thai Red Cross Organ Donation Centre is a sole organization dealing with organ donation, procurement and allocation in Thailand. It was established in 1994. This is a retrospective descriptive analysis of our data from January 1st, 2005 to December 31 st, 2014. We can identify the main factors which caused the potential donors not to become the actual donors. They were related to delay in detection of potential donors and inappropriate donor management. They also reflected to quality of organ function after transplantation. Although there was no mandatory regulation to enforce doctors to report potential donors to the Organ Donation Centre. We have to collaborate more with the hospitals to improve the organ donation process and increase actual and utilized donors. |
