Dementia following an acute presentation of meningovascular neurosyphilis in an HIV-1-positive patient

It is recognized that patients co-infected with syphilis and HIV may show an accelerated time course for developing complications normally associated with late syphilis. We describe an unusual presentation of neurosyphilis in an HIV-1-positive patient with previously treated syphilis.
