Evaluation of T, B and natural killer lymphocyte in the cervical stroma of HIV-positive and negative patients with cervical intraepithelial neoplasia

Highlights • We compared the expression of T, B lymphocytes, and NK cells in CIN and HIV+/− patients. • The seropositive women had a higher count of cytotoxic T lymphocytes. • Patients with HIV− and CIN 1 had a lower count of B-lymphocytes compared with HIV+ and with CIN 2/3 HIV− patients. • The HIV infection influenced the cytotoxic lymphocytes. • The degree of CIN influenced the high count of CD20+ lymphocytes with CIN 1.
