Zusammenfassung: | The following article presents a comparative analysis on the various theoretical and empirical advances the study of the employment in the older population, which is a topic that emerges with great force within the theoretical framework of the labor market, because of the growing life expectancy of the developed and developing countries; generates great challenges to the sustainability of pension systems. This paper, additionally takes into account considerations on the degree of development of the countries, the main determinants of the labor force participation of the 'old', the gender perspectives and new paradigms with the phenomenon of aging. It is concluded that the intensity of the capital, human capital and technological progress have a key role in the maintenance of productivity in old age. Adapted from the source document. |
