Zusammenfassung: | Laparoscopic repair of Spigelian hernias has been shown to decrease the average length of stay to one day as opposed to five days with the traditional open repair without a difference in recurrence rates.2 Our case study as well as others have shown laparoscopic repair to be a safe surgery and have high success and low complication rates. Because of the typically small defect seen in Spigelian hernias and, therefore, high risk of strangulation, repair is imperative. |
