Zusammenfassung:We studied the magnetic properties of thiospinel CuCrZrS4 under pressure. At ambient pressure, the temperature dependence of magnetization shows a large irreversibility due to spin-glass freezing between the magnetizations with zero-field cooling and field cooling, with a sudden drop in the former below freezing temperature. The freezing temperature decreases with increasing magnetic field, and its dependence follows the de Almeida–Thouless line. The magnitude of the ac-magnetic susceptibility decreases with increasing pressure. Meanwhile, the freezing temperature increases monotonically with increasing pressure up to ∼8GPa. This means that the pressurization enhances the magnetic frustration coming from the characteristic crystal structure of CuCrZrS4. ► We study magnetic properties of spinel CuCrZrS4 under pressure up to 8GPa. ► Spin-glass freezing temperature at ambient pressure obeys the theoretical AT line. ► Spin-glass freezing temperature increases monotonically with increasing pressure. ► The magnitude of ac-magnetic susceptibility is reduced by the pressurization. ► By pressurization, the strength of magnetic frustration is enhanced.
