Zusammenfassung: | Sating of constantly increasing global energy demands should be regarded as one of the most important challenges faced by our civilization. A family of semiconductors, structurally and electronically derived from kesterite, appears to be a promising candidate for photovoltaic application. Basic studies of its single crystals revealed beauty and marvels, graspable solely after high magnification of their surface.
