Deformation Cycling of a Ti – Ni Alloy with Superelasticity Effect Applied in Cardiology

The study concerns the effect of the conditions and of the force of loading experienced by an implanted device from a Ti – Ni alloy during its transfer to the working zone, for example, in endoscopic implantation into the coronary sinus of the greater vena cava of heart. It is shown that preliminary...

Zusammenfassung:The study concerns the effect of the conditions and of the force of loading experienced by an implanted device from a Ti – Ni alloy during its transfer to the working zone, for example, in endoscopic implantation into the coronary sinus of the greater vena cava of heart. It is shown that preliminary deformation cycling (10 – 15 cycles) stabilizes the set of mechanical properties of the alloy.
