Zusammenfassung:Highlights • Persons who do not intend to change unhealthy alcohol use constitute the majority of alcohol consumers. • Growth mixture modeling was used to identify subgroups characterized by different trajectories of alcohol use. • Based on alcohol use frequency and quantity only, four different subgroups could be identified. • There was a tendency of different Intervention effects for different subgroups. • Knowledge on different subtypes can be useful with regards to the guidance of interventions.
