Zusammenfassung:The main goal of this research is to study the impact of the increase of violence on current migrations from Mexico (Guerrero) and El Salvador (San Salvador and La Libertad) during the first decade of this century. These new migrations are not caused by the lack of job or economic instability, but by the lack of public safety. To do so, we chose qualitative methodology, but the climate of insecurity was a challenge to accomplish the field job. We made semistructurated interviews to people affected by violence and social workers. This research would not have been possible without the support of COFAMIDE, Human Rights Center of El Salvador and Jose Simeon Canas University (UCA). In Mexico, we received support by Human Rights Center Jose Maria Morelos y Pavon, and Doctors Without Borders. Adapted from the source document.
