Real-time vascular imaging and photodynamic therapy efficacy with micelle-nanocarrier delivery of chlorin e6 to the microenvironment of melanoma

Highlights • Strategies combined with anti-vascular therapy and vascular imaging may facilitate the prediction of early response and outcome in cancer treatment. • Micelle Ce6 can serve as a bifunctional PS between vascular imaging and PDT, which facilitates its delivery in tumor microenvironment. •...

Zusammenfassung:Highlights • Strategies combined with anti-vascular therapy and vascular imaging may facilitate the prediction of early response and outcome in cancer treatment. • Micelle Ce6 can serve as a bifunctional PS between vascular imaging and PDT, which facilitates its delivery in tumor microenvironment. • Our experimental model showed that real-time dual-color images (red fluorescence of Ce6 or micelle Ce6 in the green fluorescent tumor) obtained via continuous recording with a long-pass filter provides novel finding and insight of nanotechnology in PDT.
