Zusammenfassung: | Thermal quenching of fluorescence from sulforhodamine B (SRB) attached to the layers of silylated magadiite containing perfluorooctyl groups was greatly suppressed.
•Sulforhodamine B dye was covalently attached to the layers of silylated magadiite.•The content of dye decreased when silyalted magadiite contained perfluoroalkyl groups.•Thermal quenching of sulforhodamine dyes was greatly suppressed when they are surrounded by perfluoroalkyl groups.
Silylated magadiite containing perfluorooctyl groups was prepared and rhodamine and, pyrene dyes were covalently attached to the layers of them. The interlayer spacing of silylaetd, magadiite containing perfluorooctyl groups was larger than that those containing octyl or even, octadecyl groups. However, the content of rhodamine dyes in it was much smaller when compared to, those in silylated magadiite without fluorine. The decrease of the fluorescence from rhodamine dyes in, silylated magadiite became smaller when they were surrounded by thick and rigid perfluorooctyl, groups, which was ascribed to the suppression of twisting motion of diethylamino groups in them. |
