Zusammenfassung:Chlorofluoromethyl phenyl sulfide was prepared from the reaction of chloromethyl phenyl sulfide with Selectfluor(TM). Monofluorocyclopropanation of an alkene was achieved via cyclopropanation using a fluorocarbene derived from the product chlorofluoromethyl phenyl sulfide, followed by oxidation and desulfurization.
