Zusammenfassung:[Display omitted] This review summarizes developments in N-heterocyclic carbene-mediated transformation of silicon reagents over the past decade. Several reactions of silicon reagents, including the sila-Stetter reaction, 1,2-addition, carbon–carbon and carbon–oxygen double bond reduction, polymerization, and other miscellaneous reactions, are discussed. The mechanisms of these reactions are also presented.
