Zusammenfassung: | During the last ten years, through efforts comprehensively to describe the biodiversity of the lepidopteran fauna of Croatia, systematic analysis of various collections has yielded significant faunal contributions on this group of insects. This paper gives faunal and zoogeographical data on the lepidopterous collection of Faculty of Forestry in Zagreb. Because of the broadness of this collection only data on the family Noctuidae is given, since other lepidopterous groups, chiefly Rhopalocera, Bombyces & Sphinges, Geometridae & Microlepidoptera, are presently being analyzed and will be presented in due time. 1200 specimens were taxonomically checked and among these 164 species were determined. From the faunal viewpoint, Orthosia populeti Fab. and Hyssa cavernosa Ever. were the two most interesting species. The dominance of Eurasian species reflects the fact that most of the collection sites are situated in the inland regions of Croatia. |
