Zusammenfassung: | Nimis draws up a list of some shared characteristics of visual artists. In order to place the works presented in her article in perspective, she links them with the monumental work of Assia Djebar, who has always sung the praises of Algerian women, the "messengers of histories" who relay memories of the time before colonization and the Revolution. Based on "Djebarian" thought on the transmission of history, she focuses on one work from each of the four artists, namely Rachida Azdaou, Dalila Dalleas Bouzar, Amina Menia, and Zineb Sedira. |
