Zusammenfassung:The LD sub(50) of a single dose of ivermectin as Ivomec super(TM), when delivered by oral intubation to Atlantic salmon, was 0.5 mu g/kg. When it was administered to brown trout via IP injection the LD sub(50) was 0.3 mu g/kg. The 96 h LC sub(50) of ivermectin for salmon following immersion in dilutions of Ivomec super(TM) was 17 mu g/l. These data are discussed in terms of their implications for the assessment of the environmental impact of the use of ivermectin in fish farming.
