Big thinking for adjuvants

Adjuvant design is a challenging balancing act between promoting a potent immune response and avoiding toxic side effects. Lynn et al. address this challenge by conjugating Toll-like receptor (TLR) agonists to hydrophilic polymers, creating macromolecular adjuvants whose physical chemistry and in vivo immunological properties can be dramatically varied by simple changes in polymer architecture.
