Zusammenfassung: | Hydrothermal synthesis of [Cr super(III) sub(2)(OH) sub(4)Nb sub(10)O sub(30)] super(8-) in gram-scale quantities leads to a new polyoxometalate ion composed of two CrNb sub(6)O sub(19) Lindqvist-type units that are fused viashared faces. The two Cr super(III) atoms are located in the centre of the molecule and are bridged by two mu sub(4)-O atoms. Electronic transitions are calculated using density functional theory and compare well with the measured UV-Vis spectra. |
