Zusammenfassung:The World Bank report in 2011 called for the 1990s which since 1945 historically uniquely high number of 91 (new) violent conflicts. Although the number of conflicts declined in the following years, but recorded the Heidelberg Conflict Barometer (HIIK) for 2013 a total of 221 violent conflicts, including 45 'highly violent conflicts', among 20 wars and 25 limited wars fall. The national conflicts and wars make it from 80%. Starting with the disintegration of Somalia and Yugoslavia wars beginning of the 1990s showed new forms of war and conflict and therefore new challenges for international peace and conflict resolution as well as for the development cooperation of the OECD countries.
