Zusammenfassung:At each of five time points (Phases 2-6) we engaged infants and mothers in procedures designed to collect several types of data, including demographic measures, saliva samples to assess psychoneuroendocrine functioning, infant measures of cognitive functioning, and maternal sensitivity. The sequence of events during Phases 2-6 was: The mother and infant settled into the lab for 20-25 min while the mother filled out questionnaires and received instruction; T1 saliva samples were collected; the habituation or preferential looking experiment(s) ensued; 10 min free-play video-recorded session followed the experiment to assess maternal sensitivity via mother-infant behavioral synchrony measures; last, T2 saliva samples were collected.
