Still in our memory: On the 150th anniversary of the birth and the 110th anniversary of the death of Nikolai Mikhailovich Sibirtsev

Forty years separate the dates of the birth and death of Nikolai Mikhailovich Sibirtsev, and only 18 years were granted to his creative activity. However, this period was sufficient for Sibirtsev, a follower of V.V. Dokuchaev, to develop and firmly establish pedology as a new science at the end of the 19th century. The repeated references to his works by grateful colleagues and followers attest to the great significance of the ideas advanced by Sibirtsev.
