Zusammenfassung: | Upper extremity musculoskeletal disorders are complex in terms of causation, diagnosis, treatment and control. Work and non-work factors are involved, although just how these factors act and interact is open to debate. A growing body of research and experience is advancing the understanding of how psychosocial and work organization factors affect UEMSD. A study contends that psychosocial factors must be considered in order to prevent and control UEMSD. Experience and case histories indicate that indifference toward, or failure to evaluate and control, such factors, while focusing solely on physical aspects of work, may result in no or less-than-desired control. Therefore, a holistic approach is necessary. |
