Zusammenfassung: | Air samples were collected in the South Atlantic during a cruise from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, to the Brazilian Comandante Ferraz Antarctic Station in November 2000 and during the return cruise in March 2001. Concentrations of methane and carbon dioxide were measured, and backward trajectories were used to identify the origin of the air masses. On both cruises, CH sub(4) concentrations were higher than those of CO. No continental contribution to the mixing ratios of the samples was discerned. |
