Teflon granuloma: A rare cause of recurrent trigeminal neuralgia
Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) of brain demonstrated a small T1- and T2-weighted hypointense lesion in the left cerebellopontine angle cistern, near the origin of the left trigeminal nerve [Figure 1]a and [Figure 1]b. The lesion showed blooming on gradient recalled echo (GRE) suggesting calcificat...

Zusammenfassung: | Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) of brain demonstrated a small T1- and T2-weighted hypointense lesion in the left cerebellopontine angle cistern, near the origin of the left trigeminal nerve [Figure 1]a and [Figure 1]b. The lesion showed blooming on gradient recalled echo (GRE) suggesting calcification [Figure 1]c and the lesion did not enhance [Figure 1]d. A three-dimensional FIESTA sequence clearly demonstrated the close relation of the lesion to the left trigeminal nerve [Figure 2]a and [Figure 2]b. The calcific nature of the lesion was confirmed on computed tomography (CT) [Figure 3]. |
