Zusammenfassung:Human centromere binding protein F (CENPF) is a 367-kDa nuclear matrix-associated chromosome passenger. The protein is uniformly distributed in the cell nucleus during S phase, localizes onto the kinetochore from late G sub(2)/M to metaphase, relocates onto the spindle equator and intracellular bridge during late anaphase and cleavage furrow formation and then is degraded following completion of mitosis. CENPF has been shown to be a valuable proliferation marker for various human tumours and has been mapped to human chromosome 1q32 arrow right q41. Here we report the use of a mouse genomic fragment to map the chromosome position of mouse Cenpf.
