Zusammenfassung: | The purpose of this study was to examine HRQoL among sufficiently and insufficiently physically active community dwelling women aged 50-75 years. Participants were 118 healthy women [age = 60.0 + or - 6.9 years, Body Mass Index (BMI) = 26.1 + or - 4.1 kg/m super(2), body fat percent (%fat) = 35.0 + or - 7.2%, 91% Caucasian] recruited from the Oklahoma City metropolitan area. They completed the long version of the International Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ) and the Medical Outcomes Survey Short Form 36 (SF- 36v2). Sufficiently active participants (n = 57, age = 59.6 + or - 7.0 years, BMI = 25.3 + or - 3.3 kg/m super(2), %fat = 33.9 + or - 7.2%) accumulated 399.6 + or - 304.8 minutes of leisure time physical activity during the previous week; whereas, insufficiently active participants (n = 61, age = 60.4 + or - 6.8 years, BMI = 27.0 + or - 4.7 kg/m super(2), %fat = 36.1 + or - 7.2%) accumulated 42.2 + or - 47.8 minutes. |
