Determinant Factors To Discriminate The Efficiency Index For Achieving A Body Mass Index Of 25
To create a model to estimate the efficiency index for achieving a body mass index (BMI) of 25 (EIBMI25), determining the importance of each variable. One hundred eighty-five overweight and obese people (BMI: 25-34.9 kg times m sub(-2)), aged from 18 to 50 years, participated in the study. Four type...

Zusammenfassung: | To create a model to estimate the efficiency index for achieving a body mass index (BMI) of 25 (EIBMI25), determining the importance of each variable. One hundred eighty-five overweight and obese people (BMI: 25-34.9 kg times m sub(-2)), aged from 18 to 50 years, participated in the study. Four types of treatments were randomly assigned: strength training (S), endurance training (E), strength and endurance training (SE), and control group (C). All participants followed a 25% caloric restriction diet. The discriminant model obtained would discriminate between the two groups of EIBMI25 with 84.3% of correct classification. The discriminant function obtained was (Wilks' Lambda=0.499, p |
