Zusammenfassung: | The purpose of this investigation was to identify changes in sedentary time (SED) and physical activity (PA) of cancer survivors enrolled in a post-treatment, 12 week, Livestrong(R) group exercise program. Eleven cancer survivors (1 Male and 10 Females; 51.8+ or -9.27 yrs, BMI=26.6+ or -4.1), representing a variety of cancer and treatment backgrounds, volunteered and wore armband activity monitors (BodyMedia(R) SenseWear) for seven consecutive days. No significant differences were observed in weekly minutes (mean + or - SE) from week 1 to week 6 for SED (6484.5 + or - 155.6 vs. 6114.6 + or - 246.3, respectively), MOD (366.5 + or - 67.7 vs. 373.8 + or - 51.4, respectively), MV (369.3 + or - 68.6 vs. 378.7 + or - 51.5, respectively) or VIG (2.7 + or - 1.3 vs. 4.9 + or - 1.9, respectively). |
