Zusammenfassung:This study compares the METs measured via indirect calorimetry (IC) in pregnant women to the METs published in the 2011 (CPA sub(new)) and the 2000 (CPA sub(old)) CPA. EE was measured in 23 pregnant women during their 1 super(st), 2 super(nd) and 3 super(rd) trimester. Each woman completed a series of activities consisting of typing, folding laundry while standing, sweeping (household activities), and treadmill walking at speeds of 2.0, 2.5, 3.0 mph, 0% incline and 3.0 mph, 3% incline. Data across all trimesters were not significantly different, thus 2 super(nd) trimester data is presented.
