Zusammenfassung:This study investigated the potential behavioural influence of a physical activity (PA) intervention for participants in rural Southwestern Ontario who are at risk for type II diabetes and cardiovascular disease. Participants were 57.8 + or - 9.2 y and had at least two of the following criteria: abdominal obesity, high blood pressure (BP), low high density lipoproteins (HDL), elevated triglycerides, and increased blood glucose (BG) levels. Participants documented BG and BP three times per week, as well as daily PA through an online health monitoring system. Analysis of variance revealed no changes in the perceived pros or cons of PA (p>0.05) as determined by DB for either group.
