Zusammenfassung:Highlights • Urinary incontinence prevalence was 28.5% in non-institutionalized postmenopausal women older than 65-yrs old. • Body mass index, waist circumferences and body fat percentage were greater in women with urinary incontinence compared to those without urinary incontinence. • Increased physical fitness has a positive effect to reduce urinary incontinence. • Upper body flexibility was the fitness variable more closely related to urinary incontinence. • Interventions focused on weight management and physical fitness improvements can potentially reduce urinary incontinence.
