Zusammenfassung: | Place (geographic location), birthplace, the number of years in the United States, and gender are important social determinants of health essential to our understanding of health disparities. In this study, we examined the association between place and diabetes in white and Hispanic/Latino men and found that place and the number of years in the United States are important social determinants of health. Our findings provide implications for a nuanced perspective by highlighting the importance of examining social determinants of health to identify tailored interventions to address disparities in diabetes for diverse groups of Hispanic/Latino men. |
