Zusammenfassung:The electron paramagnetic resonance of the Dy... impurity ion in a PbWO...:Dy single crystal, grown by the Czochralski method, has been investigated using an X-band spectrometer at 3.4 K. The spectroscopic splitting parameter gij, zero-field splitting parameters Bqk, and hyperfine constant A are determined with the effective spin Hamiltonian. The rotation pattern in the crystallographic plane, together with spin Hamiltonian parameters of Dy...-center obtained from experimental data, clearly show that the actual local site symmetry of the Dy... ion is orthorhombic. Energy-levels of the ground state for Dy...-center in the PbWO... crystal are calculated with optimized spin Hamiltonian parameters. It turns out that the Dy... ion substitute for the Pb... ion without any nearby charge compensation. (ProQuest: ... denotes formulae/symbols omitted.)
