Zusammenfassung:	Lipid transport proteins localized to membrane contact sites mediate the distribution of lipids between organelles. Recently identified StART-like sterol transporting proteins in yeast can explain sterol delivery within the cell. The multiple localizations of these proteins could provide alternative routes for sterol delivery and mediate inter-regulation of membrane contact sites.
