(March 26 issue) 1 report data on the completeness of revascularization, which may help to explain the differential outcome between percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) with everolimus-eluting stents and coronary-artery bypass grafting (CABG). The clinical performance of the everolimus-eluting stent in this study was at least on a par with that in past trials involving the same stent, 2 , 3 with a favorable long-term rate of stent thrombosis (1.6%) and a rate of target-lesion revascularization (5.7%) that did not differ significantly from that in the CABG group (3.8%).
